Lift, stretch and feel like a dancer! We will keep it fun while using the principles of ballet technique to reach your goals. (JH)

Learn dance basics integrating alignment, posture and body awareness. (DV)

Dance Fitness w/ Childcare / 10:00 - 11:00 AM / studio 2 forest park
Elisa Montalvo will mix it up some ballet, cardio, toning and stretching. Diane will lead the children in a dance-a-story class while moms workout. $5/per child (EM)

Pilates Potpourri [new!] / 7:30 – 8:30 PM / studio 2 forest park
Classical Pilates exercises performed on the mat, on the ball, with the circle, with the band, at the barre and on the roller and balance cushion for balance. Each week a different class! Limited to five people. (KW)

Come in and learn the basics of social dance from Swing, box-step, Latin, disco and rock. Feel comfortable going out and dancing. Privates available upon request. (DV)

INTUIT Dance, which for five years has been a destination in Oak Park’s Arts District, is opening its second location, to be known as INTUIT Dance Studio 2 at 7515 W Madison Street in Forest Park. The original studio at 237 Harrison will be known as INTUIT Dance Studio 1.

The second location will accommodate the growing demand for INTUIT’s classes and studio space. Despite the economic downturn of the last few years, INTUIT Dance has grown. According to INTUIT’s Artistic Director Diane VanDerhei.

“Parents know what a great long-term investment dance is for their children.Dance helps children grow physically, challenges them mentally and helps them to develop emotionally and socially.INTUIT Dance has performed in Forest Park to warm reviews.There are a lot of talented kids in Forest Park, River Forest and Maywood.This new studio will allow us to offer our unique curriculum and talented instructors to a more families and children.”

Classes and programs at INTUIT Dance Studio 2 will have a special emphasis on children and teens, but will include adult classes, too.

“We have an opportunity to create synergy with this second location.” says VanDerhei.“If you can’t find a class that suits your schedule or interests at one location, chances are we can accommodate you at the other.”
